Additional Duties on Imports from India Effective Aug. 27

Effective August 27, 2025, at 12:01am ET, the U.S. implemented an additional 25% duty on most imports of Indian-origin goods under Executive Order 14329. Certain items are exempt, including specified metals, vehicles/parts, humanitarian donations, and informational materials.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released guidance regarding the additional duties on imports from India in CSMS #66027027. We encourage importers with affected shipments to review their classifications and consult with their Mallory Alexander representative to ensure compliance and mitigate impact.
