New ILA Six-Year Master Contract Agreement Signed

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) has successfully signed a new six-year Master Contract Agreement with the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX). This significant development ensures continued stability and efficiency across all East and Gulf Coast ports from Maine to Texas.

The agreement, which was ratified on February 25, 2025 and then signed this week, addresses key concerns related to job security and port modernization. Notably, it establishes a framework for implementing advanced technologies designed to enhance safety and operational efficiency while creating additional employment opportunities within the industry.
