Canada & U.S. East Coast Port Delays

Delays are significantly impacting intermodal operations at key ports in Canada and the U.S. East Coast. The Port of Halifax in Canada is facing vessel delays with some containers experiencing waits of up to 30 days due to harsh weather and rail issues. At the Port of Saint John, productivity is affected by gantry crane issues and railcar shortages, with rail dwell times over 10 days.

On the U.S. East Coast, ports like Savannah, Georgia, and Norfolk, Virginia, are dealing with container dwells of five or more days, while the Port of New York-New Jersey is seeing a few days delay due to equipment congestion and weather disruptions.
