U.S.–EU Agreement on Tariffs

On August 21, 2025, the U.S. and EU announced a new trade agreement. It outlined adjustments to tariffs on certain EU products, including automobiles and auto parts, aircraft and aircraft parts, unavailable natural resources, and generic pharmaceuticals and related ingredients.

A federal register notice released today outlines the following:

August 1, 2025 – Tariff modifications for automobiles and auto parts to 15%.
September 1, 2025 – Adjustments to reciprocal tariffs and tariffs on aircraft and aircraft parts.
Official implementation date for all changes is September 25, 2025.
